]]> Taste of CollierThe Taste of Collier is a long-standing Naples tradition filled with food, music cooking competitions, ice-carving and much more. It is an afternoon of family fun and a chance to try sweet and savory food samples from over 30 of the best local restaurants in Collier County, included our very own Zizi Restaurant from Bellasera Hotel.

The Taste of Collier is a way for area restaurants to say “Thank You” to the year-round residents for their patronage, while also raising money for local charitable organizations.

Enjoy an afternoon of fabulous food and family fun at Bayfront, in downtown Naples! The Taste is open from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, children 5 and under are free.

“Of course, it’s all about the food and this year we’re proud to have some of the finest local restaurants participating,” said Ray Singer, Event Chairman and founding member of the event. “Food tastings are priced from $2 to $5 and the variety of foods served are able to satisfy even the most picky eaters. From Prime Rib Sliders to Crepes to BBQ ribs and wood-fired Pizza and everything in between. “We’re proud that our restaurants rally their resources to support and donate 50% of their sales to our local charities.”

This year’s proceeds will be donated to: St. Matthew’s House; American Red Cross Florida Southern Gulf Coast Region; ProStart Culinary Arts which provides programs for Collier County high school students interested in pursuing careers in hospitality; Heil Luthringer, who provides education and support for those with Multiple Sclerosis and their families, and Teen Challenge.
